Well, the EC was on Friday, so I'm a little (really) late updating this, but I'm working on packing for Canada anyways.
Those of us who had the top eight major countries (ie. USA, Russia, India, Germany, UK, China, Saudi Arabia, and France) banded together to form CAGED, which was summed up pretty well - the Coalition of Ass-Kickers. Really. Together, we won all of our issues. Sometimes we had to compromise, but isn't that what the whole world should do?
We only hit a speedbump when Spain started trying to negotiate with not all of the countries in CAGED, so we disbanded for that topic only. After that, we were back on track on our quest for world domination!
One of the highlights was when Russia signed their sovereignty over to Algeria. It didn't really matter with issues, since it ended up as an almost unanimous vote for the last issue, but it was still amusing.
At the end of the conference, I figured that I'd done alright. I was really dreading it the night before, but I ended up having fun. It was really nothing like the Pan-African Conference, thank goodness, and it was much more interactive. I even made a few speeches, which was rather surprising. They need a smaller podium though. I couldn't see over it. ._.;; Prolly a good thing, since I would have been freaking out if I could see. Not that I wasn't freaking out afterwards anyways.
Overall, it was just fun. I laughed, cried, and was frustrated many times, but I know that somehow, I had fun. And I learned something.
As for Japan, I still haven't made a decision. I'll probably make one after Canada.
Sayonara!
